Welcome to the Cottontail OS Development Library. Here you will be able to download virtually any programming-oriented information that is available for computer hardware devices, processors, and operating system development. Need to write code for an ATA/IDE hard drive? How about a video or sound card? Ethernet or networking? We've got that. There are e-books, hardware reference manuals, programming guides, datasheets, and source code on nearly every subject imaginable. If this is your first visit, may I invite you to read the Manifesto and Statement of Purpose.

Buy CDs

The entire Library is about 370MB. You can download it off of this site for free (which is rather time-consuming), or you can get it on CD. Two CD copies are available for $8.00, with additional copies included for $2.50 each. I will ship anywhere in the continental U.S, and will ship internationally for an additional charge depending on the country. News

mid-8/2002 - documents are collected and indexed. A preliminary version is created with 359 entries.
8/27/2002 - version 1.00 is released (490 entries).
9/24/2002 - version 1.01 update complete. Went from 490 entries to 513. Added some development tools, miscellaneous programs, and Ralf Brown's Interrupt List to the Library. Also added 14 (!) 3Com ethernet documents I was not able to find anywhere. Special thanks to Joshua Shriver for digging them up for me.
10/2/2002 - version 1.02 update complete. Went from 513 to 542 entries. Added lots of ethernet documents, especially from AMD. A few sound, a few video, and a bunch of serial port-related PDF's round it out for now. Thanks to the osmaker for helping me find them, as well as the PCguts project for making them available.

All 542 entries are grouped by topic(42) or author(106). You'll need something like the Acrobat Reader to view most of these. WinZip helps too. Note that there are archived copies of both of these utilities under Topics->Misc. Utilities.
