Manifesto and Statement of Purpose

It is my belief that all technical information regarding non-proprietary hardware, software and general OS theory should be freely available to anyone wishing to use it. This "democratization" of technical resources such as programming guides is only possible if people know where to find them easily and quickly.

Out of a desire to serve the OS development community as a whole, as well as a need for a structured database to archive my research materials, I have created the Cottontail OS Development Library. In it, you will have access to almost every document I have ever used in connection with my hobby OS. It is my goal to provide a wealth of research information to system programmers, hobbyists and professionals alike. I hope that, coupled with such newsgroups as alt.os.development and other OSdev related sites, this tool will serve to further awareness and interest in OS programming, removing at least some of the prohibitive amount of time spent gathering hard to find documentation.
